Reminder: HMC's Blessing of the Fleet is this Sunday, June 12th at 5pm. HMC will be having its first Blessing of the Fleet on Sunday, June 12th at 5pm. Independent boaters are still welcome to arrive at Barnes Wharf by 5:30pm if the wind dies down and they would like their vessel blessed. The land portion of the event will proceed as planned. Thank you for a wonderful Gala!

Thank you for a wonderful Gala!

HMC
THANK YOU FOR A WONDERFUL NIGHT!! Thank you to everyone who joined us as we bid a fond farewell to Lincoln Maritime Center and welcomed the Hingham Maritime Center aboard for its first annual Maritime Gala! The theme of this year’s Gala was ‘All Hands on Dock’ and we kicked off our capital campaign in style, raising over $16,000 towards our new docking system. The unsung heroes of community boating, docks are our gateway to the harbor and expanding and improving our current system is the first step in our planned improvements of Barnes Wharf. More details about the docking project and the event are available here  and thank you to everyone who attended and supported the Gala!

This year will follow a slightly different format with three sailing boats and three rowing crews being chosen to be 'champions' for the three Hingham selectmen. The sailing race will take place right off the dock and the rowing race will take place in the Channel, from the Town Landing to the top of the mooring field. Spectators are welcome to observe the racing from…
