Adult Rowing – Summer 2019

SUMMER 2019 HMC ADULT ROWING PROGRAMS

LEARN TO ROW

Learn to Row programs introduce adults to the sport of rowing on Hingham Harbor. You will learn the fundamentals of the rowing stroke, how the equipment works and what it’s called, how to get in and out of the boat, and most importantly… how to put your oar in the water and go somewhere! Also covered are the basics of coxing a boat – commands, steering, and navigation. These classes are delivered in our 5 person coastal boats. Get fit, learn a new sport, and discover Hingham Harbor. Learn to Row programs must have a minimum of 5 participants registered to run.

Skill Level: Beginner
Prerequisites: HMC General Waiver, Swim Self-Certification
Instructor: Abi Kornet, Chase Manning

If the Learn to Row program does not fit your schedule try one of our other options to get out on the water this summer:

Do you and 4 friends want to get on the water together? Sign up for your own Learn to Row program at a time that works for you. Email rowing@hinghammaritime.org to schedule or fill out and submit a HMC Private Lesson Request Form to schedule a PRIVATE LESSON with personalized coaching for 1 to 2 people on the harbor.

Buy an unlimited community row package in our “prepaid packages” section ($475) to claim a seat during any club row for session 1 of the summer season OR register for individual classes and pay per row ($25/row).

You choose the days you row that work for your schedule each week.
