Please join us for HMC's 2017 Holiday Social! This year's Holiday Social will be held on Thursday, December 7th, 2017 from 7:30pm to 10pm at the historic Ames Chapel (12 South St., Hingham, MA, 02043).  This event is a casual, fun and relaxed way to catch up with fellow rowers, sailors, parents and the HMC board/staff before the holiday season starts in earnest. Event tickets, which are available to adults age 21+, include nibbles, beer and wine. There will also be a silent auction of wonderful holiday gifts and some great door prizes for a few lucky raffle winners. Our land training program is always a big hit with both beginners and experienced rowers; from learning about this great sport to keeping your water fitness in good form, the HMC erg program has it all. Our erg program runs from October 30th, 2017 to April 13th, 2018 and it is split into three sessions. HMC plans to have a large entry at the World Indoor Rowing Championships (the CRASH-BS, on February 25th, 2018) and we will also run vacation week camps for youth rowers who are staying local. Youth Fall Rowing 2017 Following from a wonderful summer rowing season, Hingham Maritime Center (HMC) is pleased to announce that registration is now open for their Youth Fall Rowing program, as of Friday, August 5th, 2017.  HMC’s youth rowing programs are available to youth age twelve to eighteen and across three levels: beginner, recreational and development. Dear Youth Sailors, Rowers, Parents and Friends, Please join us for our upcoming End of Season Awards and Ice Cream Social, which will be held on Thursday, August 10th from 7pm to 8:30pm. Youth awards, fun, games, dancing and ice cream will help us to wrap up our 2017 summer youth season, and all are welcome to attend! There will also be an the opportunity to purchase some new HMC merchandise, including car stickers and youth size apparel. The 'pie-face' jars will also make another appearance, where the children will have an opportunity to contribute towards the annual 'pie-ing' of one lucky instructor. They make great gifts too! Samples of each item are at the boathouse. Stop in Monday-Thursday between 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM to check out the styles and fabrics and try them on for size. Hurry! Updated Youth Summer Session 1 start date and snow day make-ups We can't wait to welcome back our youth sailors and rowers for the summer 2017 season; having these little folks back with us is the highlight of our year! HMC's advanced women's 8+ train for the 2016 Head of the Charles Regatta Registration for HMC's popular youth and adult spring rowing program is open as of April 1st, 2017. Registration for HMC's youth summer  A and B rowing program are also open at the same time. The adult summer sessions will be open on or before May 1st, 2017. Following from a wonderful 2016 sailing season, Hingham Maritime Center (HMC) is pleased to announce that registration is now open for their Youth Summer Sailing program, as of Wednesday, March 1st, 2017.  HMC’s youth sailing programs are available to children and youth age seven to eighteen and a variety of levels—from beginner to advanced/race—are available across all ages. Popular programs include the Beginner Sailing program (starting at age seven) where children are taught water safety and basic seamanship in addition to how to sail as well as the Beginner Venture Sailing program, which follows a similar format but is for middle school/high school aged youth who are new to sailing or water sports.   Highlights from the 2016 sailing season included a $12,000 award from Hingham Sports Partnership which was used to…
