[caption id="attachment_634" align="alignleft" width="300"] Ginny Gray, LMC Founder, and Chris Mitchell, President of the Hingham-Hull Rotary Club, present a check to Ellen Gray, Executive Director of LMC to provide junior sailing and rowing scholarships for the 2014 season.[/caption] Lincoln Maritime Center has received a $7,000 grant from the Hingham-Hull Rotary Club to provide scholarships to junior sailors and rowers on a needs basis for the 2014 season.  The grant became available to Hingham-Hull Rotary Club  from the Mabelle Fullerton Grant.  The grant is managed by the Rotary Foundation of District 7950. Hingham-Hull Rotary Club President, Chris Mitchell, requested the grant for the Lincoln Maritime Center to offer scholarships to children who would not otherwise have access to the lessons.  Chris is an avid sailor who was unable to afford sailing lessons…

If you are unable to attend, donations are appreciated. Our fundraising efforts support our scholarship program, our operations, and capital expenses. In 2013 we offered more scholarships than in the past to our sailors and rowers. Lincoln Maritime Center is designated by the IRS as a 501 (c) (3) tax-exempt, non-profit organization. Lincoln Maritime Center is located at the Hingham Rotary and has been in operation for 43 years. Our season begins in March when we host Hingham High School Varsity/JV Sailing and Rowing Teams, Notre Dame Academy Varsity Sailing. It's time to deck the "hulls" with boughs of holly, bundle up in festive holiday attire and enjoy a festive row on the Charles River in Boston! We will meet on Saturday, December 7th at Community Rowing at 9:30 a.m. and be rowing by 10:00 a.m. The plan is to finish by 11:30 and head over to Not Your Average Joe's in Watertown for lunch.
